According to the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minister Abdelatty conveyed President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi's greetings and congratulated the Lebanese prime minister on his government securing parliament's confidence.
Abdelatty emphasized Egypt’s appreciation for this significant step, which marks the beginning of a new phase towards fulfilling the aspirations of the Lebanese people.
He also reaffirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with Lebanon and its commitment to supporting the Lebanese government and national institutions, considering the strong and historic ties between the two nations.
Additionally, the foreign minister expressed Egypt’s eagerness to enhance cooperation with Lebanon in all fields in the coming period, contributing to the country’s security, stability, and prosperity.
For his part, Lebanese PM Salam expressed his deep gratitude for the Egyptian president’s role in supporting Lebanon at all levels.
He also praised Egypt’s commitment to supporting efforts to preserve Lebanon’s stability, unity, and sovereignty.
The Lebanese prime minister further emphasized his eagerness to strengthen bilateral cooperation across various sectors, reflecting the deep-rooted ties between the peoples of both nations.
