Egypt's President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi during The Extraordinary Arab Summit held in Cairo
In a post on his official Facebook account following the Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo, which he chaired, El-Sisi emphasized that Cairo "welcomes any proposals or ideas from the international community" to guarantee the success of Egypt’s Gaza reconstruction plan, stressing that it must be implemented alongside a broader peace initiative.
Egypt has developed a comprehensive reconstruction plan for the Gaza Strip to counter US President Donald Trump's Gaza plan to take over Gaza and displace its Palestinian population.
The Egyptian president also extended his gratitude to the Arab leaders who attended the summit, praising the unified Arab stance in supporting Egypt’s plan, which allows the Palestinian people to stay on their land without displacement.
The Arab nations unanimously approved Egypt’s Gaza reconstruction plan during the summit, reaffirming their unified stance against any displacement of the Palestinian people, whether from Gaza or the West Bank.
During his speech, El-Sisi called for adopting the Egyptian plan for rebuilding Gaza, affirming it should be implemented in parallel with another plan to revive peace based on the two-state solution.
