This came in their meeting on Tuesday on the sidelines of the Extraordinary Arab Summit held in the New Administrative Capital, according to the Egyptian Presidency.
Al-Sharaa also conveyed his desire to engage in joint efforts with Egypt to serve the interests of both countries and the Arab nation, the Egyptian Presidency added.
Additionally, he praised Egypt’s efforts in supporting the unity and sovereignty of Arab states and restoring regional stability.
From his side, President El-Sisi emphasized Egypt’s commitment to support the Syrian people, fulfilling their aspirations, and respecting their will and choices to achieve stability and development.
He also highlighted the importance of launching a comprehensive political process that includes all components of the Syrian population without exclusion.
El-Sisi also reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to Syria’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, stressing Egypt’s rejection of any violation of Syrian territory.
Al-Sharaa, who assumed power after the fall of Bashar al-Assad in December 2024, has reaffirmed Syria’s unwavering commitment to supporting just Arab causes and resisting Israeli aggression, calling on Arab states and the international community to take concrete steps to aid both Syria and Palestine.
