President El-Sisi affirms Egypt’s historic role in regional security and stability

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi stressed Wednesday that Egypt's wisdom, firm stand on issues, and advanced positions will go down in history for establishing the foundations of security, stability, and peace in the region.

El-Sisi made his remarks during a visit to the Egyptian Military Academy, where he was accompanied by Minister of Defense and Military Production Abdel Mageed Saqr and Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces Ahmed Khalifa.

According to the Egyptian presidency, President El-Sisi addressed several regional and international issues and their impact on Egypt's national security.

He affirmed that the state has always stood by its brothers during hardship and crisis. "We always strive for de-escalation, a ceasefire, and an end to conflicts and wars," El-Sisi said.

The president further emphasized that the region's numerous and rapidly evolving developments cause concern. However, he noted that as long as the Egyptian people remain united, they will overcome challenges.

El-Sisi reaffirmed his commitment to safeguarding the Egyptian state and its resources, emphasizing that the government meticulously evaluates every decision with precision and foresight.

Additionally, he underscored the importance of awareness and a proper understanding of emerging issues in reinforcing the foundations of Egypt's national security.

He urged the academy's students and civilian course participants to excel in their studies to achieve distinction. "Nations are built by their loyal citizens' dedication and hard work," he said.

The president noted a comprehensive development process incorporating knowledge-based and behavioural programs to enhance student performance and academic standards.

These programmes, implemented by university professors, cover psychology, sociology, and behavioural sciences. They also include engineering, computing, politics, economics, logistics, and other relevant areas of knowledge.

During the visit, El-Sisi greeted attendees on the 10th of Ramadan victory, which coincides with Egypt's commemoration of Martyr and Veterans Day.

He emphasized that Egypt does not forget its sons, who have sacrificed enormously to protect its security and sacred soil.   

The president also said he appreciated the students' families for instilling deep-rooted values of patriotism in them.

Moreover, he highlighted the intensive efforts made by the Egyptian state and its institutions across various fields to ensure a decent life for citizens.
