Abdelatty’s discussions came during separate phone calls with the foreign ministers of the Arab Islamic Ministerial Committee member states, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Jordan, Qatar, Palestine, Turkey, Nigeria, and Indonesia.

The ministers also emphasized joint efforts to promote the Arab-Islamic plan for early recovery and reconstruction of Gaza, stressing the need to coordinate with international parties to mobilize political and financial support.

According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, discussions also focused on ways to implement the outcomes of the recent Extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ministerial meeting in Jeddah.

The Arab-Islamic plan for Gaza reconstruction, adopted by the Cairo summit, serves as a unified Arab response to US President Donald Trump’s colonial proposal for the displacement of the Gaza population from their homeland.
