For his part, the Bulgarian foreign minister commended Egypt's dedicated efforts in drafting the Arab reconstruction plan and Egypt's active role in de-escalation efforts and securing the release of hostages.

Moreover, the two sides exchanged views on boosting trade, economic, and investment cooperation, given Bulgaria's role as a key supplier of wheat and grains to Egypt. They also discussed the strategic and comprehensive partnership between Egypt and the European Union and securing the second tranche of the EU's financial assistance package for Egypt.
