According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the two sides discussed the Egyptian-Qatari efforts to de-escalate tensions and sustain the ceasefire in Gaza, particularly in light of the worsening humanitarian crisis in the enclave.

The two ministers also addressed the deteriorating situation in the West Bank, citing Israel's repeated incursions into Palestinian cities, land confiscations, and settlement activities.

In addition, they condemned ongoing Israeli provocations, most recently the storming of the Al-Aqsa Mosque by Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir.

The ministers also reviewed the work of the Arab-Islamic Ministerial Committee. They explored ways to enhance the committee's role in supporting the Palestinian people and implementing the resolutions of the emergency Arab summit held in Cairo on 4 March.

Moreover, the two sides reaffirmed that regional stability cannot be achieved without the Palestinian people attaining their full legitimate rights, most notably the right to self-determination and establishing an independent Palestinian state along the 4 June, 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
