According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, Abdelatty stressed Cairo’s firm rejection of the brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza and the obstruction of humanitarian and shelter aid to the Strip.

He also outlined the Arab-Islamic plan for early recovery and the reconstruction of Gaza while ensuring Palestinians remain on their land, firmly rejecting any attempts to displace them.

Furthermore, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s strong rejection of Israeli escalation in the West Bank and underscored a just and lasting political resolution to the Palestinian cause that culminates in establishing an independent Palestinian state along the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.

During the meeting, the two sides addressed several regional issues, including developments in Syria and Lebanon and maritime security in the Red Sea.
