"Egypt remains committed to expanding collaboration with Gabon, particularly in promising sectors that align with both countries’ visions for growth and stability," the statement read.
President Nguema officially took office earlier this year after the elections.
After the ceremony, PM Madbouly departed Gabon's capital, Libreville, returning to Cairo on Saturday evening.
