El-Sisi will join other world leaders in commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Soviet Union and its allies' victory over Nazi Germany in World War II.
In April, Putin announced a three-day ceasefire in Russia's war against Ukraine in honour of the occasion.
El-Sisi's visit to Moscow follows his brief trip to Greece, where he met with several Greek officials, including Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, and signed a Strategic Partnership Declaration.
