El-Sisi attends dinner hosted by Putin on eve of Victory Day celebrations in Moscow

President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi attended Thursday a dinner hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin in honour of foreign delegation leaders attending the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory over Nazi Germany in the Great Patriotic War.

President El-Sisi arrived in Moscow earlier to participate in Victory Day commemorations, which will be held on Friday.

Celebrated on 9 May, Victory Day in WWII is regarded as Russia’s most significant secular holiday.

On Friday, President Putin will lead the official celebrations, joined by the leaders of China, Brazil, and other nations, to mark the historic milestone.
