Egypt intelligence chief, US senior adviser discuss Libya and Sudan developments

Head of Egyptian General Intelligence Service Hassan Rashad and US President's Senior Adviser on Arab and Middle Eastern Affairs Massad Boulos discussed issues pertaining to Africa, particularly Libya and Sudan, Al-Qahera News reported.

During a meeting in Cairo, both sides discussed the situation in Libya, exploring ways to de-escalate tensions and contain the situation in the capital, Tripoli.

Rashad and Boulos also discussed the developments in Sudan and potential paths toward a resolution that would bring about stability and peace.

Earlier Sunday, the US official met with President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, where they discussed the latest developments in the Middle East and ways to restore regional stability.
