They also strongly opposed any attempts to destabilise Qatar following the strike and firmly rejected the displacement of Palestinians.
President El-Sisi also briefed Prime Minister Al-Sudani on Egypt's diplomatic efforts regarding the Iranian nuclear file.
He noted that Egyptian mediation, which reflects Cairo's efforts to descalate regional tensions and foster dialogue, helped facilitate an agreement between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to resume cooperation.
According to the Egyptian Presidency, the two sides also discussed relations between Egypt and Iraq following the successful outcomes of the third session of the Joint Higher Committee between Egypt and Iraq, which was held in Baghdad in January 2025. They stressed the importance of the session's success for boosting trade and economic cooperation.
El-Sisi reiterated Egypt's active support for Iraq's reconstruction efforts and infrastructure projects. He highlighted that with their expertise and capabilities, Egyptian companies, including private sector ones, are fully capable of contributing significantly to these efforts.
In return, Al-Sudani praised Egypt's solidarity and continued support for Iraq.
