The two leaders met on Tuesday on the sidelines of the emergency Arab-Islamic summit in Doha.
According to the Egyptian presidency, their talks focused on regional crises, including Israel’s strike on Qatar and its ongoing genocidal war on Gaza.
Both leaders reiterated their rejection of any plans to forcibly displace Palestinians from their land.
El-Sisi reviewed with Pezeshkian Egypt’s two years of Gaza mediation efforts aimed at securing a ceasefire in the strip and ensuring the urgent and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid to its starving population.
The two leaders also discussed broader instability across the Middle East, stressing the need for political and diplomatic solutions that preserve the unity, sovereignty, and resources of crisis-hit states to bolster regional security.
The Egyptian presidency said El-Sisi and Pezeshkian agreed to deepen consultations between their governments in light of shifting regional dynamics and shared security concerns.
The leaders voiced a joint commitment to expand bilateral cooperation based on mutual respect, non-interference, and shared interests.
