According to a statement by the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the meeting reflected the depth of relations between the two countries, with both ministers noting tangible progress in recent years.
During the meeting, they reaffirmed their determination to expand cooperation across multiple fields, stressing the historical ties and shared interests between the two nations.
Abdelatty and Dar also exchanged views on the latest regional developments and agreed on the need for closer coordination, both bilaterally and regionally, to address current challenges, the statement added.
They emphasized that such cooperation is essential to contain crises, reduce tensions, and maintain stability in an increasingly volatile environment.
On Gaza, Abdelatty reiterated Egypt’s call for an immediate ceasefire and the urgent delivery of unrestricted humanitarian aid to the strip.
He also expressed Cairo's firm rejection of any attempt at the forced displacement of Palestinians, underscoring their right to remain on their land and establish an independent state within the 4 June 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
The meeting highlighted Egypt and Pakistan’s shared interest in aligning positions on key regional and international issues, reaffirming their roles as voices for stability and cooperation in both the Islamic world and the broader international community.
Abdelatty and Dar have maintained regular high-level contacts in recent months.
On 19 September, Dar received a phone call from Abdelatty in which the two discussed bilateral ties and regional developments, reaffirming their commitment to continued coordination at both the bilateral and multilateral levels.
They also met in Doha on 14 September, ahead of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, where they stressed the need for solidarity in confronting regional challenges, particularly after the attack on Qatar.
During that meeting, they underscored their rejection of escalation, calling for collective action through the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
