President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi reiterated that peace is Egypt’s strategic choice to secure a safe and stable future for the region’s peoples, reaffirming at the same time Egypt’s absolute rejection of Palestinian displacement or the annexation of parts of the West Bank into Israeli sovereignty.

President El-Sisi made these statements during his meeting on Thursday in Cairo with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly to review the outcomes of his participation, on behalf of the president, in the UNGA session in New York and conferences on its sidelines.

According to the Egyptian Presidency, the Prime Minister briefed the President on the outcomes of his participation in the UN General Assembly’s high-level week, including the Two-State Solution conference and Trump’s meeting with Arab and Muslim leaders to discuss the situation in Gaza and post-war plans.

The Ministers of Defence, Military Production, Interior, the head of Egypt’s General Intelligence Service, and top military commanders joined the PM's briefing to President El-Sisi.

PM Madbouly informed President El-Sisi that the US president declared his opposition to the continuation of the war and affirmed Washington’s determination to end it, presenting a clear roadmap for an immediate ceasefire and reconstruction of the Strip without displacing its people.

President Trump, according to Madbouly, praised his good personal relations with El-Sisi and expressed appreciation for the Egyptian president’s role in achieving stability in the region.

After the briefing, President El-Sisi welcomed President Trump's latest initiative to halt the war in Gaza and voiced Egypt’s readiness to coordinate with international partners to accelerate humanitarian aid.

The Egyptian president said history has proven that conflicts serve no one and stressed that the toll of wars has exhausted Middle Eastern societies.

"Egypt’s responsibility, together with other regional states, to safeguard and consolidate peace," he noted.

PM Madbouly told President El-Sisi that he reaffirmed to the world Egypt's commitment to peace and its keenness to maintain the peace treaty with Israel as a strategic choice and model to be emulated when political will exists.

Egypt’s address at the UN, he noted, underlined the country’s long-standing principles: the two-state solution as the only path forward, with a Palestinian state on the 4 June 1967 borders and East Jerusalem as its capital; Egypt’s categorical rejection of any attempts to displace Palestinians from their land; and its commitment to working with the international community to advance a just settlement.

He described the recognition of the State of Palestine by several major powers during the “Two-State Solution” conference as a historic milestone that created new momentum in support of the Palestinian cause.

Madbouly added that the conference reflected global consensus rejecting Israeli aggression, including its crime of genocide in Gaza and attempts to impose new realities on the ground.

The Prime Minister also briefed President El-Sisi on the outcomes of his bilateral meetings in New York with several world leaders and senior officials, aimed at strengthening cooperation across various fields.
