Egypt, Arab, Islamic nations welcome Trump peace plan to end Gaza war
In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar welcomed US President Donald J. Trump’s leadership and “sincere efforts” to end the war in Gaza and reaffirmed their firm support for Palestinian rights and the two-state solution.

The statement was issued following the announcement of the US plan to end the war in Gaza by US President Trump after meeting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Monday.
The joint statement reaffirmed the readiness of the eight Arab and Muslim nations to engage “positively and constructively” with Washington and other parties to finalizing an agreement that guarantees peace, security, and stability for the peoples of the region.
The signatories welcomed Trump’s announcement of a proposal to end the conflict, rebuild Gaza, prevent the displacement of Palestinians, and advance a comprehensive peace process.
The joint statement emphasized that a lasting resolution must ensure the unrestricted flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza, prevent forced displacement, secure the release of hostages, and establish a security mechanism that protects all sides.
Last week, leaders of Arab and Muslim nations urged US President Trump to pressure Israel to end its genocidal war in Gaza during a summit on the sidelines of the UNGA.
