Leaders from more than twenty countries are expected to attend the meeting.
In a statement, the presidency said the summit aims to end the war on the Gaza Strip, strengthen efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East, and open a new phase for regional security and stability.
The meeting reflects Trump’s declared vision for achieving peace in the region and his ongoing efforts to resolve conflicts around the world.
Earlier on Saturday, the Elysée announced that French President Emmanuel Macron will travel to Sharm El-Sheikh on Monday to support the Gaza ceasefire deal and hold talks on the next phase of its implementation.
On Friday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and US Secretary of State Marco Rubio discussed preparations for the summit, including coordination on the implementation of the first phase of the deal.
The summit follows the entry into force of a ceasefire on Friday, ending Israel’s two-year genocidal war on Gaza after four days of intensive talks between Israeli and Hamas delegations in Sharm El-Sheikh.
