The strategic partnership will focus on the political, military, and security fields, as well as on economic, investment, educational, and transportation cooperation, as well as the manufacturing and energy sectors, including new and renewable energy sources.
El-Sisi also underscored the importance of building on the momentum generated by the first Egypt-European Union (EU) Summit, describing it as a key milestone in the expanding partnership between Egypt and the EU.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel El-Wazir, and Minister of Foreign Affairs Badr Abdelatty.
Presidential Spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy stated that the meeting also reviewed avenues for cooperation in addressing illegal migration and regulating labour mobility, as well as discussing the latest developments in several joint infrastructure projects.
Both sides agreed to continue coordination and joint efforts to meet the aspirations of their peoples for sustainable development and shared prosperity.
El-Shennawy noted that El-Sisi welcomed Steinmeier’s visit to Egypt and expressed deep appreciation for his participation in the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, praising his keenness to attend as a reflection of the longstanding historical relations and close friendship between Egypt and Germany.
For his part, Steinmeier congratulated El-Sisi and the Egyptian people on the official opening of the museum, describing it as a monumental achievement that embodies the grandeur of Egypt’s ancient civilization and its enduring contribution to human history.

He also expressed pride in participating in such a significant cultural event.
The discussions also covered regional developments, with El-Sisi emphasizing the need to build on the outcomes of the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace, consolidate the Gaza ceasefire, ensure the sustained flow of humanitarian aid, and expedite the launch of the reconstruction process.
He reiterated Egypt’s readiness to coordinate closely with Germany in preparing for the upcoming International Conference on Early Recovery and Reconstruction of Gaza, scheduled to be held this month.
Steinmeier, in turn, expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s mediation efforts that led to the Gaza ceasefire agreement and the convening of the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit.
Both leaders affirmed that the two-state solution remains the only viable path to achieving lasting peace and stability in the Middle East, with the German president emphasizing that successive German governments have consistently supported efforts to advance this solution.
