El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt's balanced relations with both Russia and Ukraine and emphasised Cairo's commitment to promoting a diplomatic solution that ensures lasting peace and stability.
During the talks, held in the presence of Communications Minister Amr Talaat and Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty, the two sides also reviewed the growing partnership between Egypt and Hungary, particularly following the elevation of bilateral relations to a strategic level in February 2023.
El-Sisi praised Budapest's support for Egypt within the European Union.
Similarly, Orban commended Egypt's pivotal role in regional stability and its efforts to combat irregular migration, noting that Cairo hosts around 10 million refugees and displaced persons.
The meeting also addressed recent developments in the Middle East, including the situation in Gaza, efforts to implement a ceasefire, the ongoing Sudanese crisis, and broader Egypt-EU coordination following the recent Egypt–EU Summit in Brussels.
Orban, who attended the inauguration of the Grand Egyptian Museum, expressed his appreciation for President El-Sisi's hospitality and invited him to visit Hungary officially in 2026.
