According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, the call touched on developments in the Gaza Strip.
FM Abdelatty stressed the importance of implementing the latest UN Security Council resolution on Gaza and enabling the International Stabilization Force to carry out its mandated responsibilities to support the ceasefire and ensure protection for the Palestinian people.
Minister Abdelatty outlined Egypt’s ongoing efforts to uphold and implement the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Agreement, noting preparations underway for the International Conference on Early Recovery and Reconstruction of Gaza aimed at mobilising regional and international support for the Palestinian people and alleviating the humanitarian crisis.
The two top diplomats also discussed the situation in Sudan within the framework of the efforts exerted by the international Quad, which includes Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and the US, to find a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
They agreed to continue coordination and consultations between Cairo and Abu Dhabi in the coming period in support of regional security and stability.
