The convoy included 4,500 tons of humanitarian supplies, the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC), Egypt’s national body for coordinating and sending aid to Gaza, said in a statement.
The supplies consisted of more than 280,000 food baskets, 800 tons of flour, over 3,200 tons of essential medical supplies, and more than 1,500 tons of petroleum products.
It also included winter supplies to alleviate the suffering of the residents, such as more than 1,800 blankets, approximately 55,500 pieces of winter clothing, and around 16,200 tents to shelter those affected.
Since the war began in October 2023, Egypt has continued to lead the largest and most sustained humanitarian operation supporting the Gaza Strip, which the UN declared a famine area in August, the first in the Middle East.
The ERC has been stationed at the border since the start of the crisis, maintaining full readiness across its logistics hubs, allowing more than half a million tons of humanitarian supplies to enter with the support of 35,000 volunteers.
Through the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem crossings, Egypt has delivered more than 665,000 tons of humanitarian relief. This effort has been backed by 943 humanitarian flights delivering aid to Egypt, 617 maritime shipments, and coordination with 59 countries and numerous international organizations.
Inside Gaza, Egyptian-coordinated aid has been vital for keeping essential services running. Delivered supplies include 214 ambulances, about 91,000 tons of fuel to keep hospitals and critical infrastructure operating, and the deployment of four field hospitals.
ERC teams and partner institutions have also provided hundreds of thousands of medical, relief, and family-link services to evacuees and medical cases.
Since its launch on 27 July, the Zad Al-Izza: From Egypt to Gaza initiative has become the core of Egypt’s ground logistics effort, delivering over 130,000 tons of aid.
However, conditions for displaced Palestinians remain catastrophic. Thousands continue to shelter in makeshift tents and improvised structures, many of them flooded or damaged by rain and cold winds.
With temperatures falling, families lack heating, adequate clothing, and proper shelter.
Aid workers report severe shortages of blankets, warm clothes, mattresses, and secure tents, leaving many people exposed to cold weather, water-borne diseases, and respiratory infections.
Palestinian death toll has passed 70,100, with more than 170,000 people injured since Israel began its war.
Humanitarian workers warn that the real figures are likely higher due to bodies still under rubble and the collapse of medical reporting across much of the strip.
