The 100th Zad El-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza convoy crossed into Gaza through Egypt under the coordination of the ERC, which serves as the national body overseeing Egyptian aid deliveries to the enclave.
According to the ERC, the shipment carried food parcels and flour, medical and relief supplies, hygiene items, and fuel. It also carried winter assistance, including 49,500 blankets, 33,200 winter clothing items, 12,700 mattresses, and 3,700 tents, amid deteriorating weather conditions.
The convoy forms part of Egypt’s ongoing humanitarian assistance to Gaza since the start of Israel’s war on the enclave in October 2023, as shortages of food, medicine, and shelter persist across the territory following months of severe Israeli restrictions on land, sea, and air access. Tel Aviv has ensured that aid flows into Gaza remain limited, having only partially eased the blockade since July 2025 due to global outrage.
The aid delivery comes amid renewed tensions surrounding the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, brokered in October by Cairo, Doha, Ankara, and Washington, D.C.
On Sunday, Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem warned that Israel’s continued violations of the truce were undermining the ceasefire and threatening talks on a second phase of the agreement, warning that continued violations were worsening humanitarian conditions in Gaza.
His comments followed a meeting in Miami last week between representatives of Egypt, the United States, Qatar, and Türkiye to assess the implementation of the first phase of the deal and discuss preparations for a second phase.
