In a post on his official Facebook and X accounts, El-Tayyeb described Yemen as a country dear to every Arab and Muslim, and urged Yemenis to draw on the values of wisdom and moderation for which Yemenis have long been known.

Quoting a well-known Prophetic saying, El-Tayyeb said: “People of Yemen have come to you; they have the softest hearts and gentlest souls. Faith is Yemeni, and wisdom is Yemeni.”

He called on Yemenis to uphold these values, safeguard their country’s unity, and turn to peace through dialogue and consultation.

The grand imam also appealed to Arab countries and the international community to exert all efforts to preserve Yemen’s stability and protect it from the dangers of fragmentation and extremism.

He cited a Quranic verse warning against division, saying: “Do not dispute, lest you lose courage and your strength departs.”

El-Tayyeb concluded his message with a prayer for Yemen and for the Arab and Islamic nations, asking God to protect them from discord and strife, both apparent and hidden.
