The convoy included 755 tonnes of flour, more than 970 tonnes of medicines and medical supplies, over 160 tonnes of personal care items, and about 1,580 tonnes of petroleum products, according to the ERC. It also carried 30,970 winter clothing items and 920 blankets in response to worsening weather conditions in Gaza.
Since the outbreak of Israel's genocidal war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, Egypt has delivered more than 780,000 tonnes of aid to Gaza through the Rafah and Karm Abu Salem crossings over more than 760 consecutive days, the ERC said.
The operation has involved coordination with 59 countries and was supported by 943 relief flights and 617 maritime aid shipments. Distribution has been carried out through a nationwide logistics network run by the ERC, with more than 65,000 volunteers involved, according to the organization.
Egypt has also facilitated the entry of 214 ambulances into Gaza, supplied around 91,000 tonnes of fuel, and coordinated the deployment of four field hospitals. The ERC said it has provided medical, relief, and family-support services across the Strip.
The latest aid delivery comes as the United Nations (UN) warns of a deepening human rights crisis in the occupied Palestinian territories.
On Wednesday, the UN Human Rights Office said decades of discrimination and segregation imposed by Israel against Palestinians in the occupied West Bank have intensified sharply in recent years, describing a severe deterioration in rights conditions.
In a report, the office said Palestinians face systematic restrictions affecting nearly all aspects of daily life, including access to water, healthcare, education, movement and livelihoods.
UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk said the situation amounts to a particularly grave form of racial discrimination and segregation resembling apartheid, marking the first time a sitting UN rights chief has formally used the term in this context.
The report said Israeli authorities apply separate legal and administrative systems to Israeli settlers and Palestinians in the West Bank, resulting in entrenched inequality, land confiscation, and the displacement of Palestinian communities. It also cited rising settler violence, often carried out with near-total impunity, alongside the expanded use of unlawful force, arbitrary detention, and military court prosecutions of Palestinians.
Since October 2023, more than 1,000 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank by Israeli forces and settlers, according to Palestinian health authorities.
The UN rights office urged Israel to repeal discriminatory laws and practices, dismantle settlements considered illegal under international law, and respect Palestinians’ right to self-determination.
