According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Friday, the medical equipment was delivered during a ceremony attended by senior officials, as part of Egypt’s ongoing support for Chad’s healthcare sector.
Ambassador Youssef reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to backing Chad’s development efforts, noting that the initiative reflects the depth of bilateral ties and the spirit of brotherhood between the leaderships of both countries, as well as their shared desire to enhance cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples.
For his part, the Chadian health minister expressed, on behalf of the country’s highest authorities, his sincere appreciation to the Egyptian government for what he described as a humanitarian initiative. He said the dialysis machines would help alleviate the suffering of patients with kidney failure in Chad.
He added that the handover was accompanied by a training course for healthcare personnel tasked with operating the equipment, ensuring its proper use and the sustainability of its performance.
Ibrahim Hamad, director-general of the Central Hospital in N’Djamena, also praised Egypt’s qualitative support, saying it would enhance the hospital’s technical and operational capacities and improve the quality of treatment provided to patients.
