According to the Egyptian foreign ministry, Abdelatty stressed Egypt's solidarity with Lebanon as it confronts current challenges, reiterating Cairo's call for Israel's complete withdrawal from all Lebanese territory.

He said any violation of Lebanon's sovereignty, unity or territorial integrity constitutes a blatant breach of international law and UN Security Council Resolution 1701.

The Egyptian foreign minister also underscored the importance of supporting Lebanese state institutions, particularly the Lebanese Armed Forces, to enable them to exercise their responsibilities in extending the state's authority and sovereignty across the country's entire territory.

Abdelatty further emphasized the need to confine weapons to state control and support Lebanon's state institutions in safeguarding the country's stability and the interests of its people.

He reaffirmed Egypt's continued backing for Lebanon and its national institutions, citing the close historical ties and fraternal relations between the two countries and expressing hope that such support would contribute to Lebanon's security and stability.

For his part, Prime Minister Salam expressed appreciation for Egypt's continued support, praising Cairo's longstanding backing of the Lebanese state and its institutions.

He also stressed the importance of maintaining coordination and consultations with Egypt on issues of mutual concern.
