The two leaders are expected to discuss expanding cooperation between Egypt and Bahrain across various fields amid longstanding close ties between the two countries.
The visit comes two days after King Hamad called El-Sisi to express Bahrain’s solidarity with Egypt following Monday’s earthquake.
During the call, the leaders also discussed regional developments. They reaffirmed their commitment to implementing the outcomes of Bahraini Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa’s September 2025 visit to Egypt and the recommendations of the Egyptian-Bahraini Joint Governmental Committee’s February 2025 session.
Wednesday’s talks also follow El-Sisi’s visit to Manama on 14 July, when he reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for Bahrain’s security and condemned Iranian attacks on the kingdom amid heightened regional tensions.
The two leaders called for continued coordination to contain the escalation and pursue peaceful solutions to regional crises.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty and his Bahraini counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani also held talks this week on de-escalation, maritime security, freedom of navigation and efforts to revive political and diplomatic tracks for resolving regional conflicts.
