MENA , Ahram Online , Monday 2 Jan 2023

El-Alamein International Airport will be ready to receive regular flights starting March, according to Egypt’s Civil Aviation Minister Mohamed Abbas Helmi.

The airport serves the North Coast region and New Alamein City, and is considered an important regional airport, Helmi told reporters on Monday at a press conference.

El-Alamein International Airport began to receive special charter flights last August.

Meanwhile, the minister added that development continues at different airports.

According to Helmi, renovation on Terminal 2 of Alexandria’s Borg Al-Arab Airport was set to be completed in March but has been delayed to July.

Helmi also said that Giza’s Sphinx International Airport was inaugurated for international and domestic flights a few months ago.
