Ambulances and security forces rushed to the scene. 19 injured people were transferred to Sheikh Fadl Hospital, and the remainder to Samalout Namuzagy Hospital, while the corpses were taken to the mortuary unit of Bani Mazar General Hospital.

The 25 injured individuals suffered from bruises, wounds, and fractures.

Initial investigations suggested that the bus overturned after colliding with a sidewalk due to poor visibility caused by dense fog.

The Public Prosecution has been notified to open an investigation.

On Monday, the Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) reported that thick morning fog – likely to turn into clouds – is anticipated on agricultural roads and highways across Egypt over the coming five days.

EGP 50,000 Compensation

Following the accident, Minister of Social Solidarity Nevine El-Kabbaj directed the disbursement of EGP 50,000 to the families of each deceased individual, according to a ministry statement.

Moreover, El-Kabbaj directed Egyptian Red Crescent teams to provide on-site care to the victims in Minya.
