In compliance with the administration’s directive to all airlines in Egypt, EgyptAir announced on Saturday that effective 1 January 2024, minors under the age of 18 are prohibited from traveling outside Egypt to any destination without their guardians.
The Egyptian flagship airline also indicated that unaccompanied minors should obtain prior permission from the administration’s communication department before traveling.
The new rules do not apply to minors on sports teams who hold a decree issued from the Ministry of Youth and Sports endorsed with the ARE stamp.
However, minors in sports teams who hold letters from the game federation are still required to obtain prior permission, the airline added.
