The crash occurred on the Cairo-Alexandria Desert Road near Menoufia Governorate.
Security sources reported that excessive speed by one of the vehicles resulted in a direct and violent collision.
Emergency services, including 18 ambulances, were immediately dispatched to the scene, said the Egyptian Ministry of Health and Population.
The injured were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased were transferred to the morgue.
The Public Prosecution has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the incident.
The crash comes a week after a transport truck and microbus collided on the regional ring road near Ashmoun in Egypt's Menoufia Governorate, leaving 18 young women dead and three injured.
