EgyptAir said on Monday it is allowing passengers to change or cancel bookings without fees after a wave of flight cancellations to Arab and Gulf destinations caused by escalating regional tensions.

The national carrier said customers affected by suspended flights can reschedule travel to their original destinations free of charge until 15 March. Passengers who choose to cancel can do so without paying cancellation penalties, provided they use the same booking channel through which the ticket was purchased.

Several EgyptAir flights to Arab and Gulf capitals have been cancelled in recent days as airspace closures and security concerns disrupt travel across the region.

The airline said it is monitoring developments through its Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) and will continue adjusting operations in line with safety considerations.

Passengers were advised to check the status of their bookings through the EgyptAir contact centre or the airline’s official sales channels.

Airlines across the Middle East have suspended or rerouted flights as fighting between the United States and Iran intensifies, raising concerns over airspace safety and prolonged disruption to regional travel.

EgyptAir Customers are kindly requested to review their bookings by contacting the EgyptAir Contact Center at 1717 from any mobile phone within Egypt.
