The aircraft features the airline’s former red-and-gold livery, reviving a design used during the 1980s in what the company described as a tribute to its history as one of the region’s oldest airlines.

EgyptAir Holding Company chairman Ahmed Adel praised the team behind the project during a meeting with staff involved in the redesign, saying the work had been completed in a short time frame.

He said the initiative was intended to highlight the airline’s heritage and strengthen ties between newer generations of employees and the company’s history.

Founded in 1932, EgyptAir is the first airline established in the Middle East and Africa.

The retro livery project was launched under the slogan EgyptAir: Our History, Our Pride.
