Egypt’s Health Ministry reported on Friday in its daily coronavirus statement that 39 new deaths related to Covid-19 complications were recorded officially in the past 24 hours nationwide, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 17,658
The statement added that 611 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries 262,654
As the number of cases and fatalities are increasing steadily so are the numbers of vaccines Egypt has received recently enabling it to vaccinate more people.
According to the latest official numbers, 14 million people in Egypt have been vaccinated against coronavirus.
The government set up a target of 40 million people to be vaccinated by the end of 2021
