In its daily statement Egypt’s Health Ministry said that 63 new coronavirus-related deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours nationwide, raising the total number of deaths from the virus to 18,832.

The statement added that 739 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries 280,562

Egypt’s health ministry released on Wednesday a health passport application as an electronic alternative for the COVID-19 vaccination QR code certificate for use by travellers as well as locally.

The passport, which can be used at any airport around the world, proves whether a person is vaccinated, what kind of vaccine they have received, the number of doses administered, and, if they have received only one dose, the date of their upcoming dose.
