Egypt reports 803 new coronavirus infections, 27 fatalities on Wednesday
Egypt reported 803 new coronavirus cases on Wednesday, bringing the total infection tally to 389,454 since the outbreak began in February 2020, the health ministry said.
The ministry added in its daily update that 27 new deaths related to COVID-19 complications were recorded in the past 24 hours nationwide, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 21,863.
The statement reported that 912 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 323,913.
According to acting Health Minister Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar, Egypt has received a stock of s 122.2 Coronavirus million doses where 57.4 million doses have been used already.
