Egypt’s health minister, Italy’s San Donato Hospital Group discuss health cooperation

Egypt’s Health Minister Khaled Abdel-Ghaffar discussed on Saturday health sector cooperation with the Vice President of Italy’s San Donato Hospital Group Kamel Al-Ghribi and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, Abdel-Ghaffar reviewed Egypt's efforts to improve the health sector by launching initiatives and campaigns across the country for all ages, Health Ministry Spokesman Hossam Abdel-Ghaffar said.

The meeting tackled establishing a training centre for medical teams in Port Said governorate as well as holding training courses for doctors in all specialities and nursing staff under the supervision of globally trained cadres.

The minister also briefed San Donato's delegation on available investment opportunities in health projects nationwide.

Founded in 1957, the San Donato Hospital Group is one of the first hospital groups in Europe and the first in Italy. The leading private healthcare group includes 18 hospitals with a staff of 18,684, of which 5,766 are doctors.
