The minister, who is currently visiting India to participate in the Health Working Group (HWG) meetings of G20, made his remarks on Saturday during a session held on the sidelines of the G20 activities.
The session focused on supporting the pharmaceutical sector to provide high-quality medications at reasonable prices.
Abdel Ghaffar shed light on Egypt's experience supporting the local production of medicines and vaccines.
Egypt's efforts in this sector led to the establishment of Gypto Pharma City, the largest manufacturer of medicines in the Middle East, with an annual production capacity of 200 million packs.
The HWG of G20 kicked off on Friday under the presidency of India and will conclude on Saturday.
Delegates representing 19 G20 member states, ten invited countries and 22 international organizations participate in the HWG activities.
