Stryker’s Mako robotic surgery system is a medical device that uses advanced imaging and robotic guidance to help surgeons perform more accurate and personalized joint replacement procedures.

During the meeting, Abdel-Ghaffar noted that the ministry is highly focused on improving medical performance by expanding artificial intelligence and modern surgical technologies.

According to a statement by the Ministry of Health and Population, Abdel-Ghaffar said their talks focused on establishing training centres to equip healthcare professionals with the skills to use the technology with precision and efficiency.

The statement reads that this initiative reflects Egypt’s commitment to investing in human capital and enhancing the capabilities of medical personnel.

The minister added that discussions also covered strengthening partnerships to provide artificial joints in ministry hospitals and integrating the latest innovative technologies into the ministry’s broader healthcare strategy.

Stryker’s representatives expressed their eagerness to deepen cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Health, contribute to knowledge and expertise transfer, and offer advanced technological solutions to enhance healthcare services across Egypt.

The meeting was attended by key officials from Egypt’s health sector and representatives from Stryker.
