Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, UAE commence MEDUSA 11 military drills

Units from the Armed Forces of Egypt, Greece, Cyprus, and the UAE are participating in air and naval drills dubbed ‘MEDUSA 11’ that commenced earlier on Thursday.

Jordan will be participating in the several-days-long drills as an observer.
Egypt’s mistral-class helicopter carrier ‘Gamal Abdel-Nasser’ will take part in the exercises alongside several maritime vessels and multi-task aircrafts.
The Egyptian and Greek naval forces will be starting their drills southeast of the Island of Crete.
The exercises fall within the framework of exchanging expertise and promoting military cooperation between Egypt and its allies.
