Egypt’s chief of staff attends Air Defence Forces’ Jasser-132 exercise
Lieutenant-General Osama Askar, chief of staff of the Armed Forces, witnessed units from the Air Defence Forces carry out the Jasser-132 command post exercise, the Egyptian Armed Forces said on Thursday.
According to the Egyptian Armed Forces, Askar witnessed the units present reports and decisions to leaders at all levels, demonstrating their combat readiness and skill in using the latest command, cooperation and control systems to implement planned and emergency tasks.
Lt. General Askar praised the outstanding performance and high combat efficiency presented by the Air Defence Forces during the exercise.
He also discussed with the participating commanders and officers the best way to carry out their assignments and imposed several sudden tactical situations on them to test their decision-making and combat abilities.
This phase was attended by several other commanders of the Armed Forces, the statement added.
