Iraq seeks to promote cooperation with Egypt’s military production ministry: Iraqi commander

Hamed Abdullah, the commander of the Iraqi border guards, expressed his country’s desire to promote cooperation with the Egyptian military production ministry to benefit from its expertise in all manufacturing fields.

In a meeting with Egyptian Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Salah El-Din in Cairo on Monday, Abdullah praised the technical and manufacturing capabilities of the companies affiliated with the ministry.

The Iraqi official expressed his appreciation for these companies for providing for the requirements of the Egyptian armed forces and supporting the country’s plan for sustainable development via participation in various national development ventures.

The commander praised Egypt’s successful experiment in the development field as “inspiring,” saying his country his county aspires to benefit from Egyptian expertise to achieve similar accomplishments.

He also expressed appreciation for Egypt’s leading role in the region, saying it reflects “a deep strategy” in countering common challenges and combatting terrorism, maintaining security and achieving development.

In this spirit, El-Din expressed the ministry’s keenness to provide all available manufacturing, technological and technical assistance to fulfill Iraq’s needs.

Mohamed Bakr,  the ministry spokesman, emphasised the depth of the Egyptian-Iraqi partnership and the production ministry’s keenness to develop cooperation and partnership with the Iraqi side in military and civil manufacturing areas.
