El-Sisi's remarks came during a meeting with Mohamed Zaki, commander-in-chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and minister of defence and military production, and Osama Askar, chief of staff of the Armed Forces, along with several military commanders.
According to the Presidency, the meeting touched on the current international and regional developments and their repercussions on Egyptian national security.
In addition, they discussed the Armed Forces’ activities to protect the country and its interests.
During the meeting, held at the State Strategic Command Centre in the New Administrative Capital (NAC), El-Sisi expressed his deep appreciation for the efforts made by the state and its national institutions to confront the challenges resulting from the successive international and regional crises.
He also expressed his pride in the sacrifices of the Armed Forces' members in protecting the country’s national security.
