According to the Egyptian Armed Forces, the meeting in Cairo addressed several topics of mutual interest and enhancing military cooperation between the armed forces of both countries.
The newly appointed minister of defence expressed his pride in the longstanding relations between the armed forces of both nations, emphasizing the importance of coordinating efforts and cooperation in various fields.
For his part, General Kurilla congratulated General Abdel-Meguid Saqr on his new position, wishing him success in his duties.
Kurilla also expressed his eagerness for further military cooperation in the coming period and praised the pivotal role of the Egyptian state in achieving security, stability, and balance in the region.
Similarly, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met with General Kurilla.
At the beginning of the meeting, General Kurilla extended his congratulations on the new appointment.
During the meeting, attended by several military leaders, the US Ambassador, and the US Military Attaché in Cairo, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and exchange of expertise between the Armed Forces in Egypt and the US.
