Egypt Armed Forces chief of staff inspects security measures on southern strategic front

Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Lieutenant-General Ahmed Khalifa inspected Saturday security measures on the southern strategic front.

The tour is part of the Egyptian Armed Forces general command’s commitment to monitoring the security situation at the country’s border crossings and entry points on all strategic fronts.

During the visit, Khalifa reviewed several security checkpoints along the southern border to assess the security system and the living and administrative conditions of the soldiers.

He spoke with some soldiers who inquired about the region’s current challenges.

The Egyptian chief of staff praised the soldiers' understanding of their duties. He also commended the southern military region forces for their preparation for combat and their ability to respond effectively to emergencies.

Additionally, he acknowledged their role in countering infiltration and smuggling activities along the southern strategic front.

Moreover, Khalifa shared a meal with the soldiers at one of the border points, urging them to maintain their dedication to protecting the country’s borders.

He also inspected operations and security measures at the Goustol land crossing.

The inspection tour was attended by several military leaders.
