Egypt defence minister inspects combat training progress in 2nd Field Army formation

Minister of Defence and Military Production Abdel-Meguid Saqr inspected the combat training programme of one of the Second Field Army formations to assess the progress of the fighters' training.

Several commanders from the Egyptian Armed Forces participated in the inspection visit, according to a statement by the Armed Forces' official spokesperson on Sunday.

As part of the General Command of the Armed Forces' commitment to overseeing the army's formations and units, Saqr visited various specialized training areas and spoke with several fighters regarding their approaches to executing tasks in their respective specialities.

 

 

He commended the advanced training and high combat efficiency that qualified them to carry out their missions effectively and skillfully.

The minister also emphasized the General Command of the Armed Forces' dedication to continuously improving combat training plans and programmes based on scientific principles.

This approach aims to enhance the preparation and qualification system of individual fighters, the Armed Forces' real assets who play a crucial role in defending the homeland and protecting its sanctities, Saqr added.

 

 

Moreover, Saqr conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the fighters.

He also stressed the importance of focusing on serious and realistic training and maintenance of weapons and equipment to ensure the Armed Forces remain at peak readiness and combat capability to safeguard Egypt's security amid the current regional challenges.

After that, the general commander of the Armed Forces had lunch with a group of fighters from the Second Field Army.
