The president made his statements in his speech at the Egyptian Military Academy, where he had met the students and observed their morning activities earlier Friday.
According to the Egyptian presidency, El-Sisi began the visit by joining the academy’s students in performing Fajr prayer and observing their morning fitness routine.
El-Sisi announced that intensive three-month training at the Egyptian Military Academy is required for current and new cadets.
He explained that the academy’s programmes are designed based on studies from sociology and psychology faculties to ensure graduates develop balanced, educated personalities capable of performing various skills.
He noted that new students might find the academy’s environment different from what they are accustomed to. However, he emphasized that these measures are in place to prepare them for their new roles.
"The most honourable mission anyone can undertake is to protect their homeland, people, and dignity," he added.
He highlighted that this mission, for which members join the armed forces, holds significant value before God, as its ultimate purpose is to earn His satisfaction and safeguard the nation.
El-Sisi stressed the military's important role in securing the safety of nearly 120 million people, including residents and guests, in Egypt. "The armed forces remain vigilant to ensure their safety and peace," he remarked.
He also highlighted fostering balanced and tolerant personalities among military personnel, free from arrogance, including religious arrogance, which he stated is unacceptable within the armed forces.
“A balanced and tolerant personality does not imply weakness,” El-Sisi asserted.
On the contrary, he explained, the more capable and knowledgeable a person is, the more balanced and humble they should be.
"We are doing well despite all the challenges we have faced over the past four years, from the COVID-19 pandemic to the Russian war and the Gaza conflict," President El-Sisi affirmed.
