The visit was part of a series of meetings by the Armed Forces General Command to engage with soldiers and assess their capabilities.
Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, senior branch commanders, and other high-ranking officers were present.
Staff Major General Hatem Mostafa Zahran, Commander of the Western Military Region, delivered a briefing highlighting his forces’ determination to maintain a high state of preparedness to defend the country and safeguard its resources.
Defence Minister Saqr conveyed the greetings of President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi to the troops, stressing that a high level of combat readiness is the ultimate guarantee of Egypt’s security and stability amid rapid regional developments.
He urged soldiers to remain disciplined and aware of unfolding events, describing the armed forces as a symbol of national pride and sacrifice.
The visit concluded with Saqr sharing a meal with personnel in the region.
