The activity, carried out in the presence of senior commanders from the Egyptian Armed Forces as well as military leaders from participating countries, showcased the high level of professionalism and coordination among the participating forces.

On the sidelines of the exercise, the Bright Star 2025 Forum was launched at Mohamed Naguib Military Base, featuring specialised workshops on fields such as artificial intelligence and the use of drones in support of military operations.

The forum also includes workshops addressing the application of international humanitarian law in international armed conflicts, along with theoretical and practical lectures on the development of cybersecurity and its applications.

Meanwhile, the participating forces continue to carry out various activities and exercises, including a practical drill on decontamination procedures for chemical warfare units to gain experience in handling modern and diverse chemical scenarios using the latest chemical tools and equipment.

In addition, a training activity was carried out to introduce the latest search and rescue methods. These efforts come as part of strengthening the exchange of expertise among all countries participating in the exercise.

The 19th edition of the exercise, running from 28 August to 10 September, is anticipated to be one of the world's largest multinational military exercises.

Bright Star 2025 is featuring 44 participating countries, with 14 contributing with troops, comprising nearly 8,000 soldiers, and 30 other countries joining as observers.

Launched in 1980 as a joint Egypt-US exercise, Bright Star has since developed into a multinational exercise aimed at reinforcing regional security and strengthening military cooperation.
